Beyoncé’s high-flying stage moment took a tense turn over the weekend when a dramatic stage mishap forced the singer to pause her performance in Houston.

During her Cowboy Carter stadium tour on Saturday night, the superstar was performing her emotional track “16 Carriages” while perched in a red Cadillac suspended above the crowd. But as the car began to tilt unexpectedly, the 43-year-old artist grabbed onto a nearby flag pole for balance and urgently called out:

“Stop! Stop, stop, stop stop.”

The show came to an immediate halt as fans gasped from below. Beyoncé was then carefully lowered to the ground, where she smiled and waved to the crowd despite the scare.

“If ever I fall, I know y’all will catch me,” she told fans later, easing the tension with her signature poise and grace.

Her production company, Parkwood Entertainment, confirmed that a “technical mishap” had caused the stage prop to lean but said no one was hurt and the performance continued smoothly after the interruption.

Online, fans quickly referenced Beyoncé’s iconic 2010 remark, “Somebody’s getting fired,” turning the moment into a viral catchphrase once again.

This isn’t Beyoncé’s first brush with staging troubles. Earlier in the Cowboy Carter tour, a robotic arm missed its cue while trying to pour her a drink. And back in 2018 during her On The Run II tour with Jay-Z, she had to climb down a ladder after a stage platform malfunctioned — all while in heels and full costume.

Despite the hiccup, Beyoncé proved once again that even mid-air surprises can’t shake her professionalism — or her connection to the fans who continue to cheer her on, tilted Cadillac and all
